Bolanle Okusanya Feyita is Makeuppro, an exceptional makeup expert.
A self taught artist intrigued with the physical and emotional transformation makeup alone can achieve, she loves using unconventional techniques to enhance and transform.
She discovered her passion for makeup around December 1996 after a temporary Christmas role at The Body Shop by Oxford Circus in London. She continued in makeup retail for about 10 years with brands like Elizabeth Arden, Lancaster, Clarins, Molton Brown and Nars in London’s top-tier locations and lastly MAC Pro in Soho also in London.
She evolved into an international freelance artist and educator who in 2005 launched the well received limited edition MAKEUPPRO Brush collection.
Her reputation as a skilled communicator with an in-depth understanding of global beauty and diverse skin tones make her a highly sought-after artist, editorial contributor, educator and speaker. She regularly works with leading brands including Illamasqua, House of Tara International and Mary Kay as well as at international shows and events like London Fashion Week, Arise Fashion Week, Olympia Beauty and The Makeup Show Live.
She is a frequent tutor at top makeup schools including Jemma Kidd Makeup School, Christine Blundell Makeup Academy, The Skills Centre Europe and the Face Factory. She is also currently Beauty Editor at OK! Nigeria and regularly contributes editorial beauty content to a range of other online and offline publications.
Bolanle also has media training and experience. She developed and presented the makeup segment on the television program “Every Woman’s World” for several years before becoming Beauty Editor at Continental Bride Magazine whilst it was still in circulation.
This wealth of experience ensures all her clients have access to the very best techniques, trends and products. Whether designing the perfect look with a bride, celebrities or speaking to an audience of makeup enthusiasts / professionals or even being the key makeup artist leading a big team of other artists backstage, Bolanle remains creative and authentic while delivering excellent work.
She is passionate about charity work and the need to give back. She volunteers as makeup educator with Look Good Feel Better and also is a listed volunteer vendor with The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation.
Bolanle has a Bsc in International Business (Imperial College, University of London) and an MA in Marketing Communications (University of Westminster).
With extensive travel in Europe, America and Africa, she is based in London travelling nationally and internationally on request.
